My post on facebook after a friend stating my birthname on a old photo.
my friend Anthony has been prone to calling me by my birthname & using feminine pronouns. I haven’t called him out on it because I know he probably doesn’t support my transition. He’s been in my life for a fairly long time and I don’t want to lose his friendship. I hope he understands I’m serious about calling it out on facebook. I am not asking him to refer to me correctly just to not do it incorrectly.
I know I “shouldn’t put up with people like that” or “i could find true friends” but honestly he’s done so much for me & has seen me through a lot in my life. I’m not going to de-friend him for this.
